Camp Check-In & Drop-Off

It’s of utmost importance to PEAK that we maintain an environment in which transmission of the COVID-19 virus is significantly reduced. The following procedures for all DAY campers and their families must be adhered to during Camp Check-In and Drop-off.

Overnight campers: Applicable for Check-In and Drop-off on the first day only, June 16.

CHECK-IN & DROP-OFF:
Daily, Wednesday-Sunday, June 16-20, at 7:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.

LOCATION:
Please form a car line at the drop-off location at the University of San Diego, outside of the Sports Center complex in the Alcala Vista parking lot (adjacent to the pool).

  1. Campers must arrive and depart each day in their swimsuit underneath their dry-land clothing.
  2. Campers must wear a mask upon arrival each day and when entering the facility.
  3. Locker rooms will be closed, so campers will not be allowed to change or shower before/after camp.
  4. Drive your vehicle up to the designated drop-off location, where a PEAK staff member will greet you. The swimmer will remain in the car and roll down their window, while our staff administers a forehead temperature check and daily COVID screening. When complete, the swimmer may exit their car and proceed to their designated waiting area as directed by PEAK staff.
  5. Parents may not stay in the facility during the camp to observe the sessions, as the facility is closed to spectators.
  6. PEAK staff will wear a mask upon daily arrival and departure, and during times while inside the facility.

Camp Pick-Up

Afternoon Pick-up for DAY campers will occur at the same location as morning Drop-Off. Parents should place a sheet of paper with their child’s name in large bold letters on the inside of their vehicle’s front windshield.

PICK-UP:
Daily, Wednesday-Saturday, June 16-19, at 3:00 p.m..  See Camp Finale for Friday’s pickup time.

LOCATION:
Please form a car line at the drop-off location at the University of San Diego, outside of the Sports Center complex in the Alcala Vista parking lot (adjacent to the pool).

  1. Drive your vehicle up to the designated location, where a PEAK staff member will greet you and call your child to the car for departure.
  2. Campers must wear a mask upon departure each day.
  3. PEAK staff will wear a mask upon daily departure.

Camp Finale

Camp dismisses early on Sunday, June 20, at 12:00 p.m.. There will not be a lunch period that day, so swimmers should plan to eat with their families after camp concludes. Parents will pick-up their children outside the facility in the car pool line.

Prior to dismissal, each swimmer will receive a special Finale gift – including a PEAK camp T-shirt, swim cap, and more.

Overnight Campers

Overnight Campers check-in at 7:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m., on Wednesday, June 16, at the University of San Diego. Luggage may be brought to Camp Check-In at the pool facility and stored until room check-in later that day. At the conclusion of camp on Sunday, June 20, overnight campers need to be picked up by 12:00 p.m. at the pool with their luggage and personal belongings.

Overnight accommodations are conveniently located in Palomar Hall on campus at the University of San Diego. The dormitory rooms include: twin beds, desks, bed linens, blanket, pillow, and bath towels. Campers should bring their own soap and personal toiletries (such as shampoo, conditioner, etc). Daily maid service is not provided.

If you have a roommate request, and have not already given it to us, please advise us immediately. Otherwise, every effort will be made to match swimmers in terms of age and maturity level. Swimmers stay two per room, each in their own bed. In some cases, swimmers may stay one per room.

The safety and well-being of our swimmers is our first concern. Overnight campers are supervised at all camp activities. In addition, our camp staff resides in the overnight residence with the campers. Once the camp is underway, parents may contact our camp coordinator directly by phone at +1-320-334-4255.
