INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY CAMP
Our IM Camp covers the entire individual medley from the front start, the four strokes, the three IM turns, plus the ideal racing strategy. It’s the complete package over four days! Training and racing in the IM is a wise choice as it develops all four strokes and makes swimmers more versatile and competitive. Most people think of Michael Phelps as the King of Butterfly, but he’s also the only swimmer in history to win the 200 IM in four consecutive Olympics. The camp’s daily skill progressions and challenging swim sets are adjusted to reflect skill and performance levels. Lane assignments for swimmers are based on ability level rather than age. Each day begins with a powerful mental presentation emphasizing the important role that the mind plays in peak swimming performance. The underlying “positive mental message” is repeated throughout the day to heighten its impact and create lasting change. Each day of camp ends on a high note with swimmers feeling mentally, technically, and physically empowered. In addition to our 8 challenging in-water training sessions, the camp also includes 4 intense dry-land training sessions, 2-4 swimming related yoga sessions, and 4 inspiring mental conditioning sessions.
