S.A.D. (Streamline awareness drill)
Chances are you’ve streamlined off the walls thousands upon thousands of times. So often, you’ve probably gotten stale and go through the motions, agreed? Increasing your streamline awareness can teach you new things about an old skill and take it to a higher level.
Step 1:
- Stand in front of a mirror in the tightest streamline position possible.
- Palms flat, fingers together, and pointing to the sky.
- Arms tucked and squeezed behind your head.
- Chin up and pointing directly forward.
- Hips pushed fully forward with your butt squeezed tightly.
- Legs and feet together.
Step 2: Raise your right leg forward (as high as possible off the ground) while maintaining streamline. Hold as long as you can.
Step 3: Repeat with your left leg.
Step 4: Raise your right leg outward (as high as possible off the ground) while maintaining streamline. Hold as long as you can.
Step 5: Repeat with your left leg.
Step 6: Raise both legs (as high as possible off the ground) while maintaining streamline. Hold as long as you can.
