Hold on, Then let go!
In this strategy, “hold on” means focusing on your stroke 100% and swimming it precisely the way Coach Nick would want you to. Imagine him walking down the pool deck next to you and critiquing every stroke! On the other hand, “let go” means to stop controlling your stroke altogether and see what happens. Does it stay precisely the same as your “hold-on stroke” or not? Score Platinum to Platinum if it does. A slight change for the worse equals Platinum to Gold, while a medium difference to a significant one equals Platinum to Silver, or Platinum to Bronze.
Swim your “hold-on stroke” for the first 25 only, then swim all remaining 25s of the repeat with your “let-go stroke.”
