Ambidextrous
Am·bi·dex·trous: A person able to use their right and left hands equally well.
Few of us on this planet are ambidextrous. Ninety-nine percent of developing swimmers favor one side or the other when performing any stroke, leading to physical imbalances, injury, and a loss of essential swimming power and flow.
Your mission this week is to perform as many day-to-day tasks as possible using your non-dominant hand. No doubt, you’ll find it challenging, but in the long run, you’ll benefit your swimming by increasing the feel and strength on your non-dominant side.
Scoreboard:
- Gold: Did better than expected.
- Silver: Made some progress, but incredibly frustrating.
- Bronze: I felt like a baby learning how to walk.
