Break Out of Your Swimming Bubble
No matter what level of swimmer you are, it’s easy to get into a set way of doing things the same way day after day in practice. The problem with this is that once your body and mind become familiar with something, that something loses its “bite.” In other words, it no longer benefits you in the same way it did when you first started doing it. For example, if you do four body whips off the wall in practice, and you’ve done it that way for weeks or months, it’s no longer as challenging or beneficial as before. Your mission is to break out of your physical and mental “swimming bubble” by adding a least one new intense challenge to your training routine every day this week.
