Achieving PEAK Performance
Kurt Lewin (1890-1947) was a psychologist who studied group behavior and change. He believed that exhibiting desirable behavior (or not) resulted from two kinds of forces: driving forces and restraining forces.
A driving force can be your next swimming goal, and the restraining ones can be the distractions that may prevent you from achieving your goal. So the harder-slower way to succeed is to increase the driving force, while the smarter-faster way is to decrease any restraining forces. Adding conceals, while subtracting reveals.
